Dever Ascot High Ring Mexican Noseband Black

This noseband is also known as a Mexican Grackle.

It is used to remind the horse to keep its mouth closed and helps prevent him from crossing his jaw, but provides more expansion of the nostrils, which is preferable for horses performing higher intensity work. This Grackle has a fluffy synthetic sheepskin centre pad and features leather discs behind the rings to help prevent the ring rubbing the cheekbones.

This version of the High Ring Grackle features an overhead strap & can be used with a standard headstall.

Should be fitted higher than a normal Grackle, above the cheekbones.
